Window Rock (Navajo Tségháhoodzání) is a town located in Apache County,
Arizona. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 3,059.
The town is the seat of government for the Navajo Nation, the tribal
government of the largest Native American tribe in the United States.

Window Rock is located at 35°40'22" North, 109°3'44" West (35.672752,
-109.062097)1.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of
13.4 km² (5.2 mi²). 13.4 km² (5.2 mi²) of it is land and none of it is
covered by water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 3,059 people, 876 households, and 713
families residing in the town. The population density is 227.6/km² (589.3/mi²).
There are 998 housing units at an average density of 74.2/km² (192.3/mi²).
The racial makeup of the town is 95.46% White, 3.17% African American, 0.42%
Native American, 0.16% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.07% from other races,
and 0.69% from two or more races. 1.44% of the population are Hispanic or
Latino of any race.
