POIANA BRASOV - ROMANIA
Poiana Brasov is the ski resort preferred by
western Europeans because it has a relatively lower cost compared to ski
resorts in Italy, Francy, Germany, Switzerland and other EU states.
It is located at about 1200m above Brasov, and it has a pave road
accessibility. There are tour buses that can lead you to the ski resort,
where you can climb to a higher elevation by hiking or cable car, to
Cristian and Postavaru summit. Both these summits give you a great view
of the Brasov region.
Poiana Brasov is full with exquisite hotels, restaurants that will fill
your stomach but not your wallets. The majority of the restaurants, cater to
foreign tourist, thus a very eloquent ambiance is present in the restaurant.
Two of the famous ones are: Sura Dacilor (The Dacian Shed) and Coliba
Haiducilor (The Outlaws's Shack).
